Friday, April 25th: Pre-Ball Networking Soirée Mixer
6:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Air Restaurant & Lounge, Washington, D.C.
Kick off the weekend with an exclusive networking soirée. This is a perfect opportunity to connect with industry professionals, community leaders, and cultural enthusiasts. The evening promises collaboration and the setting of an inspiring tone for the festivities ahead.

Saturday, April 26th: 4th Annual Sierra Leone Independence Masquerade Ball
7:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Private Venue, Oxon Hill, MD
Experience the glamour and tradition at the Sierra Leone Independence Masquerade Ball (SLIMB64). The theme for this year’s event is “A Celebration of Culture, History, Fashion & Unity”, with a special focus on “Celebrating Sierra Leone’s 16 Tribes and Districts: Where Elegance Meets Tradition.” We are excited to showcase the vibrant and colorful diversity of Sierra Leone in the most festive way possible. We invites you to don your most dazzling costumes and join us in a night filled with live entertainment and spirited dancing as we celebrate Sierra Leone's rich history and independence.

Sunday, April 27th: Sierra Leone Independence Parade & Unifest
11:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Baysox Stadium, Bowie, MD
Conclude the weekend with the Sierra Leone Independence Parade & Unifest—a joyful display of cultural pride. Enjoy a lively parade featuring cultural performances, indulge in authentic Sierra Leonean cuisine, and embrace the vibrant community spirit that unites Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora.

Lek U Culture Association
501c(3) a non-profit Lek U Culture Association is a non-profit organization that has made its mark on a global scale. With its roots in Sierra Leone, it has branched out into Europe and the USA, carrying with it the rich and vibrant
culture of Sierra Leone. Their mission is not just about promoting Sierra Leonean culture but also about empowering the youth. They believe in the power of education, entertainment, and community engagement as vital tools for youth empowerment. Their aim is to create a platform where the young minds of Sierra Leone can learn, grow, and contribute to their community and the world at large. Their motto, ""our culture is our future" Proceeds from this event will go towards their Drug Abuse Among Sierra Leonean Youth in Sierra Leone. To provide educational workshops, community outreach endeavors, and advocacy initiatives to tackle the underlying causes of drug abuse and offer assistance to those affected. “Kush” , a strain of cannabis, has gained popularity among young people in
many parts of the world, including Sierra Leone. While cannabis use is not a new phenomenon, the rise of more potent strains, such as Kush, has raised concerns regarding its impact on public health, particularly among youth.

USA Paddle DMV
USA Paddle was founded in May 2005 with a mission to serve the community in the DMV area and beyond. The organization is dedicated to promoting and educating the public about Sierra Leonean masquerade traditions and the rich cultural heritage of Sierra Leone. Through their work, USA Paddle fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of Sierra Leonean culture within diverse communities.

Touch of Grace is a vision to continue the Healing Ministry of Christ through medical missions, building a hospital and cultivating food for the communities in which we serve.
Touch of Grace is the brainchild of Alimatu Sangarie Sammarie. Alimatu started the organization on April 25, 2018. The township of Yengema, in the Kono District of Sierra Leone is the motivation for launching Touch of Grace organization.
A war-ravaged Yengema was once the economic powerhouse of Sierra Leone. The township was the melting pot of people from different sociocultural backgrounds who coexisted in harmony. The main attraction to the community was alluvial diamond mining.

Elith International Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. Who mission is to enrich underserved communities by fostering sustainable lifestyles through the pillars of education, livelihood, and health.
